She is passionate about color and specializes in blondes and low-maintenance "lived-in" color. Over the years, Brooke has attended many color classes in Vancouver WA, multiple online courses for balayage as well as attended Ashlee Norman's "Foilage" blonding class. Foilage is now her favorite coloring technique (using foil to balayage) for achieving the brightest blondes. Back to Roots, Brooke recently moved home to Walla Walla from Portland. She recalls getting her hair done at the BEEHiVE as a teenager... the stylist and the ambiance inspired her to pursue a career in hair, and she had hoped to someday work at the salon. She spent her youth painting, writing songs and experimenting with hair and makeup. She always loved the supportive feminine community of a hair salon; a place of unveiling, shedding and emerging transformed. She graduated from the Beauty Institute- Schwarzkopf Professional in Bellingham in 2016 and by 2020 was operarting her own salon suite, The Hair Saloon located just outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. Meagan’s approach to hair is holistic and intuitive. Proficient in curly cuts and blending layers, she often cuts hair dry in its natural texture to address cowlicks and to manipulate kicks and flips. Meagan is well rounded in her craft, shaping all hair types with precision and care. She takes continuing education courses regularly and offers cutting, coloring, styling, bridal hair and makeup as well as color analysis and makeup lessons to her clients.
